Bob's Top Shop is an automotive restyling business founded in 1973
by Robert Nardine and is proud to be starting their 35th year in
business. Bob's goal has always been to provide his customers a unique,
customized vehicle. Bob began his career in the automotive restyling
industry in 1959 as a shop helper in an upholstery shop in St. Albans,
Vermont. While attending high school and the University of Vermont, Bob
learned the trade from Henry Carmon, a second generation upholsterer
who taught him quality and pride of workmanship. After graduating
college, Bob bought that shop and also operated two additional shops in
Vermont before moving to Florida.
Bob opened his own restyling
company in Merritt Island, Florida in 1973 and relocated to Orlando in
1989. Bob's Top Shop is the premiere, award winning automotive
restyling shop in Central Florida. Bob has over 47 years experience in
the automotive restyling industry. Bob's Top Shop's employs ASE/SEMA
certified technicians for leather, roof treatment, sunroof and
accessory installations. Bob's Top Shop uses only the finest materials
installed by expert craftsmen to make every job perfect.
Bob is
very active in the automotive restyling business community as a way to
track current trends and learn about new products. He has been an
active member of Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) and
Professional Restylers Organization (PRO) since 1993. In 2001 and
2005 Bob participated on panels to help develop certification questions
for the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and
SEMA. Bob has served as a council member on SEMA's PRO advisory
council since 2004.
In 2006 Bob's Top Shop was selected
as one of five restyling shops nationwide to pilot the SEMA Member
Propledge Guarantee, an industry warranty program for restyled vehicles.
In 2007, Bob became the first restyler to be awarded the Jim Borre Lifetime Achievement Award. |
